In the dynamic world of property development, the quest for the perfect location is more than just a matter of geography – but also how a site can synergise with the existing transportation infrastructure.

Success hinges on more than just the aesthetics of a building or the charm of its surroundings. It's increasingly about accessibility and sustainable connectivity.

In today's rapidly evolving landscape, traditional transportation infrastructure like roads, buses, and rail networks continue to be vital. Here’s what we’ve added to our transportation layers to help with your site-sourcing searches:

Public transport: New layer

Providing an extensive overview of nearby public transportation routes and services, we’ve added layers to our interactive map view to show bus stops, train stations and rapid transit stations.

  • Train stations, bus stops, tube stations, tram stations, metro stations and subway stations
  • Data comes from the Department for Transports National Public Transport Access Nodes dataset (NaPTAN)
  • Clickable icons reveal more information

Roads: New layer

Under the transport section, we've also added a new visual layer that highlights nearby roads based on classifications.

  • Motorways, A Roads, B Roads and Minor Roads
  • Data comes from the Ordnance Survey's Open Roads dataset
  • Clickable roads reveal more information

EV charge points: New layer

In addition to these useful transportation insights, there's an emerging player that's becoming impossible to ignore: Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points. That's why we’ve also added a new feature to our utilities and renewables layers that reveal EV charge point locations and stations.

  • View electric vehicle charge point locations across Great Britain
  • Data comes from the Department for Transports National Chargepoint Registry
  • Clickable icons reveal the number of charge points at that location, what type/make they are, who owns them and the types of connection cables available
