Understanding pedestrian and traffic hotspots is crucial for businesses aiming to capitalise on the natural movement of the population - ensuring that new developments are strategically placed in the most lucrative areas.

This insight is especially vital for commercial operators who must identify locations where traffic and footfall align with their business objectives.

Revolutionising due diligence with accurate traffic and footfall data

Consider a bustling high street eatery or a new retail store in the city centre. Passing trade is essential—hence, selecting a location with a high daily footfall is critical.

Conversely, for those seeking a new site for an out-of-town gym or a suitable area for a retail park, traffic data can pinpoint areas with a high concentration of daily vehicle movement - your potential customers.

Or perhaps you're a housing developer needing data on local mobility to identify potential commuter zones where a new residential development would be perfect for those travelling to and from work.

It's not only about finding busy areas. What about discovering quieter traffic zones—places ideal for new schools or home care facilities? Accurate traffic data can unlock opportunities that would otherwise require months of on-the-ground research and data analysis.

New Data: Traffic & footfall

Our highly anticipated traffic and footfall data is here to assist users in gaining a comprehensive overview of daily traffic and footfall volumes in their area of interest anywhere in the UK.

Created using a carefully selected array of aggregated data sources, along with our custom algorithm, our traffic and footfall data is extremely accurate, giving you the confidence to assess locations competently and elevate your due diligence criteria.

Here’s what it can do:

  • Two new data layers (traffic and footfall) that can be toggled on and off when required
  • Daily traffic count: average number of vehicles going down a stretch of road over a day
  • Daily footfall count: average number of people passing through an area over a day
  • Visual, colour-coded data to help you hone in on footfall hotspots or busy roads
  • Interactive design that displays estimated volume figures when clicked
  • Use our Sourcing Tool to filter sites in areas with a specific number of vehicles or people passing through each day, within a 50m radius
