Turn your AI assistant into a land analyst.

Our AI connector is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Connect once, then ask anything - ownership patterns, planning precedent, comparable appraisals, strategic allocations. Your assistant reasons. Searchland retrieves.

Reports come back as structured documents: maps, tables, citations.

What AI assistants can connect to the Searchland MCP

Claude is live today. We're working on other MCP-compatible assistants, like ChatGPT and Copilot to bring those online next. One connection, any assistant - that's the point of MCP.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your AI assistant only accesses Searchland datasets through the connector — your private project files, saved sites, and account data stay untouched. Nothing is used to train any AI model.

Do I need a paid AI assistant subscription?

A free Claude account works to get started. A paid plan (Claude Pro or Team) gives you higher usage limits and access to more capable models - we recommend it for strategic reports and longer analytical sessions, but it's not required.

How does it work?

Searchland MCP is a Model Context Protocol server. You connect it to your AI assistant once via a unique URL. From then on, when you ask a question that needs land data, your assistant queries Searchland directly, retrieves the relevant datasets, and structures the answer with maps, tables, and source citations.

How is this different from a traditional API?

A traditional API needs developers and custom integration work. MCP lets you ask in plain English and get a structured report back - no code required.

Use MCP for ad-hoc questions, report building, and exploration. Use an API for powering your own apps, dashboards, and databases.

Which data sources are included?

200+ Searchland sources covering UK planning applications and appeals, HM Land Registry, Companies House, UK LPAs and policy data, VOA, EPC, DNO, flood and environment layers, demographics, and more. See the full data coverage above.

Do I need a Searchland licence?

The MCP connector is included with all Searchland licences - users with a full license can connect right now. We'll soon be opening it up as a standalone product for users who want MCP access without a full Searchland subscription. Sign up for a trial today and we'll get you set up.
